The Ohio Department of Education and Workforce’s Office for Exceptional Children (DEW/OEC) and the Ohio Coalition for the Education of Children with Disabilities (the Coalition) collaborated to create Reading Tips for Families through implementation of the State Personnel Development Grant, funded by the United States Department of Education (2017-2022). An ongoing collaboration continues between the OEC and OCECD to consistently update the website. Our goal is to provide updated literacy definitions, activities, and resources that engage and educate families, while meeting requirements for both disability accessibility and for speakers of additional languages.
